Steven Rand

Conceptual, Intermedial, Sculpture, Art with Architecture

Steven Rand was born in 1953 in Tarrytown, New York. He studied at the University of Buffalo and in 1977 at the University of Arizona. Since 1981, he is involved in many solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries in the country and abroad.

The artist is the founder of the 1994 initiated apexart curatorial program in New York. This showroom is a non-profit institution, providing the possibility for young curators, to deal with questions and the content of contemporary art in thematic exhibitions.

In 2004/05, he designed a light installation for the entrance area of the extension of the European Patent Office in Munich.
